Veneer Stone Fireplace Project

One of the greatest pleasures we have in the building materials industry is to see how our products are used from start to finish. We recently received pictures from Leslie Gustafson & Co., an Interior Design Firm in New York, of a veneer stone fireplace project. A common misconception when working with real stone veneer is that people use it for exterior applications only. While stone veneer is an excellent product for external use it is also very common for interior fireplaces, walls, and other decorative applications.

The picture above gives you an idea of what the fireplace looked like prior to Leslie Gustafson & Co getting involved on the project. Here are some of the project details:

  • Description: Interior Stone Veneer Fireplace
  • Size: 63 square feet (quantity ordered)
  • Product: CT Blend Ledgestone (thin veneer)

Veneer Ledgestone Fireplace- Project Almost Complete

Many people take on interior design or home improvement projects on their own (which is great) but here you can see how the eye of an interior design firm helped turn this room into something special. Our focus is on the stone veneer for the fireplace but the entire room has been transformed and the fireplace draws in your eye. It's common to see ledgestone veneer used for projects of this size because of the "clean" look it provides and the time it takes to install. Our ledgestone ranges in size from 1"-4" height and 6"-12" in length (approximately) with natural ends. The size of the pieces are small when compared to the other patterns and if you want sawn cut sides (pictured) it will take additional time to complete the project.
