Fitzwilliam Granite: 1 Stone Collection in 3 Different Products

Unique textures and patterns combined with durability and sustainability make natural stone a preferred building material option for architects, interior designers, and homeowners alike. In addition to the visual impact and functional benefits, natural stone's versatility means you can use the same stone collection in a variety of project types and multiple applications to create one-of-a-kind features. Here is an example of how to transform one stone collection into three different exterior products, using Fitzwilliam Granite.

1. Thinstone Veneer

One of the most common uses for the Fitzwilliam Collection is Thinstone Veneer. Available in five different patterns, Fitzwilliam Granite adds a weathered look and consistent grey color to any project. In the new home build in the photo above, Fitzwilliam Granite Thinstone Veneer was incorporated throughout the exterior design to enhance the lakeside views and atmosphere. Exterior siding and accent walls are just two of the many applications this natural stone collection is ideal for. Interior projects like accent walls, fireplaces, and backsplashes are also popular ways to use this collection in home designs.

2. Steps

Steps are an important component of landscape design that bring different areas of a property together and accommodate elevation changes. In the project featured above by Green Monster Landscapes, these Fitzwilliam Quarry Steps were installed to create access from the property to the pond below. Some of the stone was hand-split onsite to bring the customer's vision to life; boulders were used to help secure them in place, while smaller pebbles added a decorative touch. As you can see, the same color scheme is visible as in the Thinstone Veneer, but over a larger surface area. The landscape design project above is only one way that natural stone steps can enhance an outdoor space.

3. Flagstone

Walkways create convenient access between exterior spaces, enhance landscape design, and tie different areas of the property together. Flagstone is a popular building material for walkways, patios, and pool coping. 603 Stonework NH and JL Young Landscapes are the talents behind this project, adding a special touch when combining the Sawn Fitzwilliam Granite Flagstone with fieldstone found onsite. You can see the natural variations within the stone collection, as well as the unique look created by the size and shape of the material.

Each of these Fitzwilliam Granite projects showcases how you can use the same stone collection in different ways to create a variety of features and memorable spaces. You can also benefit from using the same stone collection in different applications on the same property to create a stunning, cohesive design. No matter how you choose to add natural stone to a design, you achieve an ideal balance of visual appeal with durability, for long-term enjoyment.
