Product Spotlight: Fitzwilliam Granite Sawn Flagging

Fitzwilliam Granite Sawn Flagstone brings refined style and durability to outdoor living spaces and landscape designs. Thanks to its uniform thickness, straight edges, and carefully sawn finish, it’s perfect for patios, walkways, fire pit surrounds, and more—delivering a sleek, tailored look that feels both modern and timeless. Unlike the rugged, irregular shapes of Split Flagstone, Fitzwilliam Granite Sawn Flagstone showcases a medium texture and a consistent grey tone, accented with occasional white and shimmering mica. Beyond its beauty, the precise cuts and consistent dimensions streamline installation, helping save time and effort while achieving a polished, sophisticated result.

Ways to Incorporate Fitzwilliam Granite Sawn Flagstone

  • We believe even a little natural stone goes a long way, but the visual appeal of a natural stone collection can be especially appreciated over a larger surface area. (See the top photo of a Fitzwilliam Granite Sawn Flagstone Pool Deck, and the second one, of a Fitzwilliam Granite Sawn Flagstone Patio, as examples.) Long range durability, resilience to high traffic, and low maintenance are additional, more functional benefits, but these spaces are skillfully crafted to stand out!
  • Fire Pit Surrounds are a great example of where a smaller amount of natural stone has a big impact! Fitzwilliam Granite Sawn Flagstone is used in the project in the photo below, where it coordinates with other elements of the design (including small boulders, veneer on the fire pit itself) for a unique look that is connected with nature. Sawn Flagstone is a great choice for fire pits, because it creates a more permanent feel, and designates space for seating and gathering with family and friends.

  • Not pictured here, but another popular project we see is Sawn Flagstone Walkways. They create a clean, elegant natural stone feature that connects different areas of the property, including outdoor living spaces and landscape designs. Walkways are an opportunity to add color, texture, and personality to landscape designs, and enhance larger sections of the landscape, curb appeal, and exterior designs.
  • Combining Sawn Flagstone with Thinstone Veneer in other aspects of the design. is a current trend that creates a consistent design and sets the tone for the atmosphere in different areas of the living space. To explore how you might incorporate both Sawn Flagstone and Thinstone veneer to enhance different features, visit our previous Product Spotlight: Old New England Wall Mosaic as an example. You can use the same collection, or different ones with complementary colors to customize the look and feel of any space.
  • Sawn Flagstone can also be used for Pool Coping or Garden Paths--and as Interior Flooring, to blur the transition between indoor and outdoor spaces and optimize the connection to nature!
