Natural Thinstone veneer brings together the best of both worlds—authentic beauty that lasts and design versatility. With its real stone composition and thinner profile, this material has become a favorite among builders, designers, and homeowners looking to add texture, warmth, and visual impact to their spaces—inside and out! The Harbor Mist Collection is an option to consider for projects ranging from contemporary exteriors to cozy fireplaces and accent walls, offering a level of creative freedom that works across styles and settings. This month's Product Spotlight focuses on the Roughly Squares and Rectangles pattern and how it enhances a variety of projects.
Harbor Mist Roughly Squares & Rectangles Interior Accent Wall
Key Features
Details: Harbor Mist is a granite quarried right in our home state of Connecticut--with a light textured surface and a full range of light grey colors, with some occasional tan.
Specifications: The Roughly Squares & Rectangles (typically referred to as Square & Rec) pieces are “roughly” 6”x6” and larger, while the rectangular pieces are longer. In contrast to the Mosaic pattern, Square & Rec is used to create a clean and more modern look, offering a smooth, consistent shape that puts the focus on the color, texture, and individual characteristics natural stone is known for.
Collection Versatility: Harbor Mist Square & Rec Thinstone Veneer is also available in other patterns including Mosaic, Strip, Ledgestone and Ashlar. (It is available in multiple patterns as Full Bed Veneer as well.) You can learn what sets each pattern apart, how they affect the color range and variations within the collection, and find specification details, in this blog post.

How to Incorporate:
- Interior: The light greys and tans in Harbor Mist add soft, neutral colors and light texture to interior fireplaces, accent walls, shower walls, backsplashes, and more.
- Exterior: Harbor Mist enhances exterior designs, including foundations, siding, chimneys, retaining walls, seating walls, fireplaces, fire pits, water features, and more, with light greys, tans, and a slight sparkle.
- Landscape: Harbor Mist can be used for stone walls, features like step risers, and other aspects of landscape design. The light colors add contrast to darker features and accents as you can see in the first and last photos in this post.
Incorporating Harbor Mist into multiple elements of the home build, inside and out, is a great way to bring different parts of the living space together, and helps establish a consistent design and personality throughout the home.
