Earlier this year we announced the launch of our latest addition to the DS Global line, the Mahal Collection. What Sets This Collection Apart?

In our previous discussion in April, we highlighted the specifications of these natural stone veneer collections and their potential impact on new design-build projects. One of the key advantages is the dimensional sizing of the 3 Height Ashlar and Sawn Ledge patterns. These patterns are especially beneficial when trying to decrease time spent on site, as these patterns help masons efficiently install natural stone veneer with minimal need for shaping pieces.

How Do These Materials Compliment Existing Products?

Our classic veneer collections are typically installed by experienced masons to achieve a polished and refined look. The new linear patterns of the Mahal Collection mentioned above can be installed by skilled homeowners or new masons who are learning to work with natural stone. For hardscape projects like pools, patios, and walkways, the Sawn Irregular Flagstone has proven to be a popular choice. Again, working with this material requires the expertise of a skilled hardscaper or mason for installation. On the other hand, the pavers from the Mahal Collection are pre-cut into 12"x12", 12"x24", 24"x24", and 24"x36" pieces, allowing them to be laid directly from the crate onto a level surface. These paver options eliminate the need for shaping and shifting that irregular pieces require, saving contractors, landscapers, and hardscapers valuable time throughout the entire construction process, from design to clean up.
