Enhance Your Property with Natural Stone Walls

Stone walls define landscape boundaries, set property lines, and can also help make different levels of a property more manageable. They are durable, long-lasting, low-maintenance, and made with a naturally sustainable building material. As the design-build industry evolves, real stone walls have as much of a visual impact as they offer functionality. More projects are featuring stone walls in a variety of landscape designs, and many are even multipurpose. Here are a few examples of projects featuring real stone walls and different ways you can enhance your property by incorporating them.

Old New England Rounds make a beautiful natural stone seating wall.

Adding definition to spaces is a great reason to build a stone wall, but when it creates a beautiful feature AND a seating area along the patio, it is even more efficient! The stone wall in the photo above accomplishes all of these goals and separates the driveway and the patio space. Designed by Alliance Masonry, with stone supplied by Stonewood Products, this project showcases the classic New England charm of the Old New England Rounds Collection. 

Sterling Tan Mosaic adds a special touch to this landscape design. 

Enhancing a landscape design is another common purpose for building a stone wall. The one in the photo above adds personality to the driveway and makes an immediate impression upon entering. The natural color palette in the Sterling Tan Mosaic collection (supplied by Home Mason Supply) features medium tans and greys, and creates a relaxing, soothing atmosphere, while the plantings help maintain a connection with nature throughout the property.

Using real stone in different areas of a landscape and exterior design helps tie different components of the property together.
