3 Inspirational Home Design Projects Featuring Unique Blends

With more than 24 natural stone collections, as well as DS Global Collections, there are many different colors and patterns available for all types of design projects. We often talk about how design and build projects are only limited by the imagination. This is true for incorporating natural stone into a project and also goes for creating unique blends! We love seeing projects with a mix of different stone collections to achieve a completely unique look. Here are three projects using a mix of natural stone collections that generated stunning results. 

Dusty Rose and Fitzwilliam Granite create a whole new color range to enhance this home build. 

Many of the collections have a wide range of colors, while others are more consistent. (Texture can vary as well between collections and individual pieces.) A unique blend of collections helps emphasize certain colors and features, beyond what each collection offers on its own. In the photo above, the Fitzwilliam Granite Collection combined with the  Dusty Rose Collection adds contrast and dimension to this home build. The application and splash of color from the Dusty Rose add depth to the usual consistency of Fitzwilliam Granite. 

Colonial Tan and Spruce Mountain complement each other and expand the color range.

This pool, patio, and siding project features Colonial Tan (brown, tan, and light grey, with a slight shimmer in the sunlight, setting it apart from other tan collections) and Spruce Mountain (grey with occasional tan and rust tones, and a slight shimmer, too.) The project was designed by KJL Contracting, Inc., whose team installed the stone in several different patterns (including Ledgestone around the spa.) The patterns also affect the appearance of the stone, so using several different patterns adds more color and texture to the project, while also tying different elements of the backyard together. 

A mix of different grey stone collections is the standout feature of this new home build.

There are several grey-based collections, each with its own variation, but this new home build creates its own individual blend and a definite impact. The combination of greys from several collections includes the full range from light to dark, and as a result, the design itself becomes a standout feature.
